Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking a finance professional in New York to build their finance function and drive strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will help in planning cycles, manage relationships, and oversee bookkeeping.

About The Role

We are looking for our first hire to help build our finance function and own and execute against a broad, critical scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Help lead the quarterly and annual planning cycle guiding overall company strategy, resource allocation, and decision-making
• Serve as strategic partner to founders, GTM, and R&D across opportunities to drive ROI, make strategic investments that drive growth.
• Own materials for our Board meetings and serve as a key partner on future fundraising processes
• Manage relationship with accounting firm and oversee the bookkeeping process
• Drive accountability from a metric, KPI, and monitoring perspective

Requirements

• Experience as an early hire in a finance function at a growth-stage startup
