Heraeus Quartz North America is seeking a Finance Intern to join our team in Buford, GA. The role focuses on supporting financial analysis related to freight costs, inventory management, and tariff impacts, with hands-on experience in supply chain finance and cross-functional collaboration.

This onsite internship offers exposure to monthly close activities, variance analysis, and financial reporting, working with logistics, procurement, operations, and accounting teams to drive cost insights.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Experience with Power BI, SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Code, approve and analyze freight and tariff invoices.
• Prepare tariff analysis and reporting.
• Assist with inventory valuation and inventory reserve analysis.
• Support monthly inventory reporting and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Help identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory trends.
• Analyze purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, and operational cost variances.
• Prepare variance reports for management review.
• Support monthly close activities and reporting.
• Utilize Excel and systems to analyze large datasets.
