Job summary

Inmar Intelligence is offering a Summer Finance Internship focused on hands-on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll work with FP&A, Accounting, and other teams to turn data into insights and support process improvements.

You’ll gain mentorship from Finance leaders, exposure to dashboards and KPI reporting, and opportunities to advance toward roles in Finance, FP&A, and Operations. Onsite in Winston-Salem, NC with a Summer 2027 focus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, MIS, Data Analytics/Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity about how data and financial information connect to business performance.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and productivity tools (Excel and/or Google Sheets; Google Workspace or Microsoft Office).
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with financial and operational data.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain findings and insights.
• Ability to collaborate, manage multiple priorities, and adapt as business needs evolve.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, processes, and technologies and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis to help teams understand business performance.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and potential cost savings.
• Develop or enhance financial models, dashboards, KPIs, reports, and presentations that turn data into insights.
• Support accounting and financial operations (reconciliations, journal entries, AR, data validation, etc.).
• Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, or automate Finance and Accounting processes using technology and data.
• Gather requirements, document workflows, test solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct research and ad hoc analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional partners to connect financial insights with business objectives.
• Contribute to projects that improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of financial processes.
