Job summary

Holmes Murphy & Associates offers a Summer Finance Internship in West Des Moines, IA. This 10-week program provides hands-on experience with our finance team, including reporting, treasury, and accounts payable/receivable, while you learn in a supportive, real-world setting.

You will work closely with our finance professionals on reconciliations, data analysis, and documentation of internal controls, gaining practical insights into the industry and future career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or another related field.
• Prior work experience is a plus.
• Gain exposure to the finance team including financial reporting, insurance and vendor payables, treasury, and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the finance team including financial reporting, insurance and vendor payables, treasury, and accounts receivable.
• Assist the accounts receivable team with recording payments received to client accounts and validating work completed.
• Prepare reconciliations. Assist various finance teams with reconciliations of information to the general ledger.
• Analyze financial data. Assist with the transition of client accounts, requests for historical data, and other ad hoc requests.
• Assist in documentation of internal controls and processes surrounding various transaction cycles.

We have a Finance Internship opportunity with our Finance team in the West Des Moines, IA office. This opportunity will start in the summer for our Summer Internship Program offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture. You Will
