Job summary

ITT Inc. in Valencia, CA invites a motivated Finance Intern for Summer 2027. This 40-hour/week internship offers hands-on experience in operational accounting within a global aerospace manufacturer.

Under mentorship, you will work on general and manufacturing-specific financial practices, contributing to meaningful projects and learning industry standards while pursuing an Accounting or Finance BS with a 3.0+ GPA and familiarity with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance undergraduate program with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Junior year completed or in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting/Finance team with daily operational activities.
• Review and update current standard operating procedures.
• Gain understanding of ITT’s SOX policies and procedures.
• Maintain and file documents per retention policy.
• Support resolution of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable items.
• Participate in inventory audits and cost analysis.

Position Summary

Position: Finance Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Valencia, CA

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, May to August 2027

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operational accounting and finance within a world-renowned, publicly traded aerospace manufacturing company. Under mentorship the intern will gain exposure to both general and manufacturing-specific financial practices, contributing to meaningful projects and learning industry standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting/Finance team with daily operational activities


• Review and update current standard operating procedures


• Gain an understanding of ITT's SOX policies and procedures


• Maintain and file documents in accordance with ITT's retention policy


• Support resolution of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) items


• Participate in inventory audits and cost analysis

Position Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance undergraduate program (BS), in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher) and has completed their Junior year


• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting regulations


• Solid grasp of accrual accounting principles


• Familiarity with accounting information systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
