Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. seeks a Finance Intern to support the Operations Accounting Department in Peoria, IL. Responsibilities include journal entries, month-end close, and inventory audits as well as preparing financial reports for leadership.

The position is onsite at the Peoria manufacturing facility with a Summer 2026 start and potential for extension into Fall 2026; full-time summer hours and flexible part-time academic year hours are available.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program at a 4-year college/university.
• Ability to apply academic knowledge to real business scenarios.
• Prior work-study, school or volunteer leadership experiences preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Complete Journal Entry creation and posting
• Complete month end reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Send out weekly and monthly financial reports
• Perform the physical audit of Inventory
