Job summary

Hussmann invites highly motivated students to join its 12-week Summer Internship Program in finance. You will rotate across accounting and finance functions, including AP/AR, corporate accounting, FP&A, and tax, gaining hands-on experience with forecasts, reports, and capital expenditure analysis.

You’ll work with senior leaders, develop dashboards, and participate in the Ideation & Innovation Challenge, culminating in a business proposal presentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to set priorities and multitask with attention to detail.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using AI platforms.
• Willingness to relocate if not local.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and build financial models for decision support.
• Assist with forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
• Analyze variances and identify trends for improvements.
• Support accounts payable and supplier statement reconciliation.
• Assist with accounts receivable analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly closing entries and reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements and create standard/ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Review P&L to identify trend issues and advise accordingly.
• Assist with capital expenditure analysis and inventory reconciliations.
• Collaborate with tax and other finance teams on international/federal/state tasks.
• Engage with senior leaders and interns through networking events and ideation challenges.
