Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is seeking a Finance Intern for Government Operations. Onsite in Euclid, OH or Barberton, OH, you will work under finance leads and site controllers to perform core accounting tasks and learn cross-site processes.

The internship offers exposure to journal entries, financial modeling, budgeting, automation projects, and analytics, with opportunities to interact with experienced professionals on Teams.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Finance or another relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks successfully.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office suite skills.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Position Overview

The Finance Intern will complete a variety of finance and accounting duties with guidance from finance leads and under the supervision of site controllers. This internship will provide exposure to various aspects of the department and create the opportunity for meaningful work. The intern will have opportunities to engage with experienced professionals at their site in-person and across other sites on Teams in group and one-on-one settings.

Pay: $20.45 - $26.27

The starting hourly rate for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $20.45 and $26.27 per hour. The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify the hourly rate (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation, or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or applicable department/team performance, and other market factors.
