Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Rockford is offering a part-time Finance internship. The role supports the finance team in accounts payable, auditing, and ad-hoc reporting while the student pursues a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business. Requires 18+ years of age, background check, and ability to work holidays/weekends.

Enrolled students will gain practical experience in a fast-paced casino environment and may participate in seminars and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all activities pertaining to finance goals and objectives.
• Maintain invoice filing system and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Print accounts payable reports and maintain accounts payable files.
• Assist in auditing casino accounting activities and in monthly closings.
• Prepare analysis of accounts and ad-hoc reporting as requested.
• Support operation departments to identify and implement improvements.
• Assist with special projects as necessary.
