Job summary

Kite Pharma in Santa Monica, CA, offers an Intern - CFO - FP&A position to contribute to high-impact finance projects and gain real-world experience at a leading biotechnology company.

As a Gilead/Kite intern, you will engage in professional development, leadership presentations, and volunteer activities while exploring corporate finance in the biotech sector. The role is hybrid with a May–August timeframe and requires U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD or PhD program at a U.S. college or university.
• Must be at least 18 years old at start of internship.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 at application and hire.
• Must be independently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must commit to a full-time internship lasting 10–12 weeks between May and August.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to high-impact finance projects supporting CFO/FP&A.
• Participate in professional development and leadership presentations.
• Gain exposure to corporate finance within biotechnology.
• Support financial planning and investment activities, including primary research presentation.
• Assist with close, forecast activities, budgeting, and compliance record keeping.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis to inform business decisions.
• Develop understanding of target marketing and the biotech industry.
• Present final work with a PPT near internship conclusion.
