Job summary

Electronic Theatre Controls is hiring interns for the summer of 2027. This is an on-site position in our Middleton, WI office. Interns will support daily financial activities and help with month-end closing tasks.

The role provides exposure to SAP, journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1-2 years of related study, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher; the HR review begins at end of September.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of post-secondary study in Finance or Data Analysis preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support daily financial activities for ETC US.
• Review and compile weekly purchase price variances.
• Input freight bills weekly.
• Input and scan journal entries into SAP.
• Support monthly financial reporting activities for ETC US.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial information.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Prepare monthly work papers.
• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Reconcile selected general ledger accounts.
• Prepare manufacturing variance analysis from weekly variance data.
• Assist with month-end closing and related reports.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred

1-2 years post high school education in Finance or Data Analysis

• Input and scan journal entries into SAP
• Support monthly financial reporting activities for ETC US
• Assists in the preparation of monthly financial information
• Prepares monthly journal entries
• Prepares monthly work papers
• Reconciles bank accounts
• Reconciles selected general ledger accounts
• Prepare manufacturing variance analysis report from weekly purchase price variance information
• Duties related to month-end closing process as assigned
• Assists with trial balances, analyzes financial documents, investigates questionable data, and prepares reports

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
• 1-2 years post high school education in area of specialization (Finance or Data Analysis preferred)
• GPA: 3.0 or higher
