Job summary

ALKU is seeking a Finance Intern in Andover, MA for a hybrid on-site with remote during the school year. This paid internship gives hands-on exposure to weekly leadership and revenue reporting processes.

You will assist in month-end close reporting, data validation, and dashboards using Excel and Tableau, developing practical finance skills and cross-functional collaboration. Applicants should be pursuing a Finance, Accounting, or Business degree, be detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working with large data sets and spotting discrepancies.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing weekly reports that get sent out to leadership and revenue teams.
• Work on various ad hoc requests from revenue teams to help drive revenue growth.
• Help with month-end close reporting.
• Support the preparation of spread summaries and year-over-year performance analysis across business lines.
• Help maintain and improve reporting templates and dashboards used by revenue teams.
• Assist with data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy across weekly and monthly reports.
• Compile and organize data from multiple sources into clean, digestible formats.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives within the finance team.
• Partner cross-functionally with accounting, sales, and recruiting teams to gather and clarify data.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP);
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable working with large data sets and spotting discrepancies
• Clear written and verbal communication skills - able to translate numbers into plain-language takeaways
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter who's comfortable asking questions and taking initiative on ad hoc requests

Preferred

• Prior internship or coursework in financial reporting or analytics
• Familiarity with Tableau
