Job summary

The Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park (IQMP) at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks an Accounting Associate to manage accounting, prepare financial reporting, reconcile payments, and support procurement and contract administration with knowledge of university policies.

Under limited supervision, the role prepares monthly statements, performs grant accounting, and assists in audits and related activities using QuickBooks and FABWeb among other systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field with five years of professional accounting experience OR
• CPA/CMA/LPA certification OR
• Master's degree in Accountancy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and expense reporting for IQMP accounts and related university accounts.
• Upload and reconcile transactions; manage fixed asset depreciation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with allocation by activity and budget line.
• Monitor cash flow and initiate fund transfers for grant advances.
• Support procurement and contract administration; maintain documentation.
