Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to support budgeting and forecasting within the FP&A group. You will assist with department and product budgets, analyze financial impact, and help the Senior Manager of Business Planning drive strategic decisions.

The role is hybrid, based in the NYC office, and requires full-time in-office availability during the June–August window. Training will cover financial modeling, dashboards, and key performance indicators.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of school and working toward a bachelor's degree.
• Majors: Finance, Accounting, Business, Math, Economics or related field.
• Minor: Data Analytics, Statistics or Computer Science a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral).
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative work style and integrity.
• Familiar with Excel and PowerPoint; Tableau and SQL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models and dashboards to provide analysis of KPIs and ROI.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and efficiency.
• Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Provide technology or reporting solutions (SAP, Tableau, etc.).
• Support end-to-end project work from data collection to senior-level presentation.
