Job summary

Katalyst is seeking a highly capable, hands-on Director of Finance to own the company’s full finance operating rhythm across monthly close, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, AR/AP, financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic finance support.

This leader will act as both player and builder, personally driving core accounting while designing scalable systems, controls, and team structures to support the next growth phase and investor expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or finance roles.
• CPA preferred; experience in aerospace/defense is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience building finance processes from scratch in a startup.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the finance function across close, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and internal controls.
• Drive cash flow forecasting and long-range runway models.
• Partner with leadership on pricing, vendor, and investment decisions.
