The Just One Project is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the Finance Department, ensuring GAAP-compliant, audit-ready financial operations across grants, programs, and restricted funds. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory or department leadership experience.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and nonprofit fund accounting.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and payroll.
• Familiarity with federal grant compliance and Uniform Guidance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and maintain confidentiality.
• Integrity and accountability in handling sensitive financial data.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, including workflows and accountability.
• Serve as a technical resource on accounting practices, procedures, and compliance.
• Develop and strengthen financial procedures, internal controls, and documentation.
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Act as administrator for QuickBooks Online and maintain GL integrity.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee AP/AR, vendor workflows, payments, and revenue recording.
• Ensure proper allocation of expenses across programs and grants.
• Prepare for audits and Form 990 with external partners.
• Maintain audit-ready records for grants, restricted funds, and reimbursements.
• Represent the organization at events as needed.
