Job summary

Bogus Basin, located at the Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area, seeks a Finance Director to lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for year-round operations. This role drives financial health and strategic growth across winter and summer programs.

You will oversee cash flow, capital projects, and revenue streams, supervise the finance team, and partner with senior leadership to ensure strong GAAP-compliant financial management and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the hospitality, resort, or outdoor recreation industry preferred.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with financial software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, or ERP systems).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term financial strategies to support the business’s goals.
• Lead the annual budgeting process with department heads.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to leadership and the board.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and other day-to-day financial operations.
• Monitor cash flow, capital, and debt levels to ensure liquidity.
• Identify cost-control opportunities and analyze revenue streams (winter and summer).
• Oversee external audits and risk management.
• Lead and mentor the finance team and collaborate cross-functionally.
