Job summary

The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland, part of Sage Hospitality Group, seeks a Director of Finance to lead all hotel finance functions. You will oversee payroll, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, cost controls and strategic financial planning to support hotel operations and profitability in downtown Portland.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of all hotel accounting functions and related finance responsibilities.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting, finance and hospitality.
• Ability to analyze activities or information and interpret data to reach conclusions.
• Experience training accounting staff; closing books and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance function including payroll, budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop annual operating budget and financial goals; manage costs and profitability.
• Set department priorities and quarterly objectives with action plans and follow-up.
• Monthly forecasting of staff costs and expenses aligned with sales projections.
• Review financial statements, control expenses and ensure prudent spending.
• Support management with cost controls and internal controls across hotel operations.
