Job summary

The William Vale in New York offers a boutique luxury hotel environment with a strong focus on hospitality excellence. We seek a Director of Finance to lead the Finance team, guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy for the property.

You will partner with hotel leadership to optimize profitability, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive financial reporting and controls across all departments. This role requires extensive hospitality finance experience and leadership capability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in hospitality finance management, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Luxury hotel experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of local financial practices and taxation; work experience in country required.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Strong command of software applications, especially Microsoft Office and hotel-specific platforms (Infor-HMS, ADP, Birchstreet, M3 Accounting Core).

Responsibilities

• Direct and administer all financial operations of the hotel to include asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, budget and forecasting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance across the finance function.
• Oversee accounts receivable, credit, accounts payable, income audit, payroll, cash handling, purchasing and receiving.
• Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries and expenses of the hotel.
• Advise department heads in analyzing financial data and maximizing profitability.
• Serve as financial advisor to hotel management and ownership.
• Lead weekly cash flow forecasts and monthly reporting package.
