Primary Function

The Finance Director – IT & Operations Financial Analysis is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and management within the IT and operations departments. This role bridges financial strategy with operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, budget optimization, and alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and monitor budgets for IT and operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
    • Conduct financial analysis, including variance reports and forecasting and planning
    • Optimize IT expenses while aligning with organizational financial goals
    • Oversee compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
    • Manage procurement processes for IT hardware and software and support operational procurement process
  • IT and Operations Integration
    • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making, including asset management and cost optimization
    • Act as a liaison between finance and IT/Operations teams to ensure seamless communication
    • Collaborate with IT teams to set up and manage finance-related IT systems
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Lead financial planning processes for IT projects
    • Collaborate with various departments and external agencies to implement and maintain services and programs
    • Develop strategies for cost control while maintaining service quality
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare detailed financial reports on IT/operations performance
    • Conduct internal audits to verify program operations are within budget and adhere to fiscal practices
    • Provide ad-hoc financial analyses to support executive decision making
  • Other duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 8 years of accounting and analysis experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership and/or management experience
  • IT/operations experience is a plus
  • Must have analytical experience with a high proficiency in interpreting financial data
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and data related to IT projects and Processes
  • Strong communication skills both orally and written
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and accounting /analysis software (BPC)
  • SAP ERP experience preferred but not required
  • Display ability to implement and lead an effective project change management process
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and documents
