Job summary

AEVEX is seeking a Director of Finance, Cost and Inventory to lead cost accounting and inventory management across complex aerospace and defense programs. You will own end-to-end inventory accuracy, product costing, and compliance with government regulations, leveraging Infor LN to optimize manufacturing accounting and reconciliation.

You will mentor a team of cost accountants and inventory specialists, drive KPIs for inventory accuracy and COGS, and ensure robust internal controls and audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
• TS/SCI DoD clearance is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in cost accounting and inventory management in manufacturing.
• Leadership of teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with government contracting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting and inventory management activities.
• Oversee month-/quarter-/year-end closes for cost and inventory.
• Oversee standard costing, job-costing, and overhead rates.
• Perform profitability, variance, and margin analysis by product line/contract.
• Ensure compliance with DCAA, FAR, DFARS, ITAR as applicable.
