Job Details Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The annual base pay range for this position is $180,000.00-$200,000.00.

Additional Compensation: Employees may be eligible to receive annual incentive bonuses depending on their job classification and the policy guidelines.

Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees are provided company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also able to enroll in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan.

Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and employees accrue up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.

SUMMARY

The Director of Finance – Commercial Parking provides financial advice to the Regional Vice Presidents and SVP of Commercial Parking and the region management team on existing business, forecast, budget and monthly operating results, etc. This position provides recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of statistics of current and future operations. The Finance Director reports to the SVP of Finance and is responsible for analyzing and evaluating potential investments, new business, acquisitions or divestitures as they relate to the financial objectives of the business unit. This position directs financial policies and supports driving performance on behalf of the Regional Vice Presidents.

  1. Links operational decisions with financial outcomes by reviewing problem accounts, investment spending, overhead spending, contract management, and worker’s compensation costs - 15%
  2. Analyzes business drivers and ensures financial predictability. Manages accountability of short-range forecasts and end-of-month reporting. Ensures visibility of long-range opportunity and risks of forecast/budget and collaborates with leadership to drive performance - 15%
  3. Administers policies and programs and works with the operational leaders to achieve financial and operating objectives. Compares key measures of plans and actuals to appropriate benchmarks - 15%
  4. Prepares and analyzes special purpose reports which outline important financial trends in the components in the areas of income, expense, earnings and asset controls - 10%
  5. Coordinates budgets and forecasts - 10%
  6. Leads new business modeling, validates financial data, and supports M&A initiatives. Ensures financial viability of new business deals to support growth strategies - 10%
  7. Identifies under-performing accounts and leads operational team to drive expected results - 10%
  8. Conducts training sessions for operational staff, as needed, on new accounting procedures or related financial programs. Assists in the opening of new accounts to ensure systems and procedures are in place - 5%
  9. Manages the control of commercial contracts, including the capital expenditure process, change funds, inventory and equipment. Drives the administration of accounts receivable and their collection - 10%

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university with concentration in finance, mathematics, business, accounting or related field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of finance experience with a focus on budgeting, cost controls and forecasting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Supervisory experience and managerial responsibilities; food service industry experience is desirable.

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts and the ability to understand how the impact of financial decisions will affect the financial statements, bank covenants, cash flow, etc.
  • Working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, performance metrics, and financial and profitability analysis.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills along with the ability to apply problem-solving skills to complex financial scenarios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work and manage across all levels and departments and communicate business direction and strategy to internal constituents and external parties.
  • Ability to work consistently and accurately in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
  • Extremely high level of aptitude with the ability to utilize advanced functionality of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to conduct complex analyses of cost centers to identify areas of improvement and cost reductions.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and various financial technology and reporting applications.

  • Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.

SCOPE

Authority to Act:

  • Performs duties with little direction given, operating from established directions and instructions. Decisions are made within general Towne Park policy constraints but occasionally require independent decision making.
