Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks a strategic Finance Director to plan, forecast, and report on the Cancer Service Line’s financial performance. You will lead a team of analysts, partner with service line leadership, and coordinate with the finance and revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate, compliant results.

The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-term financial planning within a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Leadership and supervisory experience evident with 2+ years.
• CPA or MBA/Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the annual budget process for the service line in collaboration with leadership.
• Leads complex financial projects with appropriate leadership and foundation teams.
• Establishes robust financial processes for research and commercialization activities.
• Oversees day-to-day financial operations and acts as liaison to Revenue Cycle for WVUH & UHA.
• Oversees capital budgeting and variance analysis with service line leaders.
