Job Posting: Finance Director - Full-Time/Central Office

RSU #38 is hiring an experienced Finance Director to lead the district's finance department. We are looking for a motivated candidate with experience in budget development and management, strong written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in financial software applications. RSU #38 is located in the beautiful Kennebec Valley area close to many lakes. RSU #38 comprises 6 schools: 4 elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. The district has a total annual budget of roughly $24M. We are looking for a strong candidate to join our team of professionals as we work together to support students.

Job Goal:

To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the district's financial affairs in such a way as to provide the best possible educational services with the financial resources available. To ensure that the school district derives maximum benefits from the prudent expenditure of school funds.
