Job summary

AbbVie is recruiting for its 2027 Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP), a global accelerated leadership programme designed for ambitious finance graduates. The two-year program features four six-month rotations across Commercial, Operations, Finance Shared Services, and Corporate finance.

You will work cross-functionally in a matrix environment and undertake assignments in Financial Analysis, Budgets/Forecasting, Reporting & Controls, and Manufacturing Operations Accounting, while

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors in Finance/Accounting with strong academic performance
• Completion of at least three accounting courses (cost/managerial accounting preferred)

Responsibilities

• Work across four rotations (Commercial, Operations, Finance SSC, Corporate) in a matrix environment.

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join AbbVie’s 2027 Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP).

AbbVie’s Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP) consists of four six-month rotations run over two years. These rotational experiences prepare you for accounting and financial management roles. The roles are crafted to help you develop exceptional functional and leadership traits by working on a wide range of projects, while providing exposure to different leaders in the company. These accounting and finance experiences will develop you and put you on the fast track to future accounting and finance leadership opportunities at AbbVie.

This is a global accelerated leadership programme for ambitious finance graduates, who want to work in a dynamic, innovative environment.

AbbVie EU AFDP rotations are structured within four functional areas of the business:

• Commercial (Netherlands/Belgium): Commercial Finance provides global leadership, guidance, and financial support to AbbVie’s Commercial operations. This organization forecasts for our key brands in Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience and Eye Care. Commercial International Therapeutics helps to support our global operations and planning worldwide.
• Operations (Westport, Ireland): Operations Finance provides leadership and guidance to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing and various other support functions related to financial planning and internal management reporting. The Finance team provides decision support services through analysis of key financial information, while driving operating margin improvement, maximizing tax advantaged product sourcing, and maintaining an assurance of supply.
• Finance Shared Services (Krakow, Poland): Finance Shared Services governs and supports AbbVie’s global, standardized, end-to-end, back-office processes, maintaining the operations and transactional business activities that enable the company to run.
• Corporate:
  • Europe Area Commercial HQ (Paris, France): Europe Area Finance hosts 2 teams: one team is focused on consolidation & analysis providing key support for month-end close and planning, as well as Regional finance support; and another team focused on brand finance partnership working closely with commercial teams at Area level in terms of brand performance analysis & story-telling.
  • International Allergan Aesthetics HQ (Greater London Area, UK): The International Allergan Aesthetics FP&A team provides financial planning & analysis support to the International / IMCO Commercial organization. The team drives the international planning processes, coordinating and influencing across the 4 International Areas and the IMCO team.
  • Treasury (Hoofddorp, Netherlands): Treasury provides centralized and efficient global business support in the areas of banking, foreign exchange, financial risk management, investments and capital structure that ensures adequate liquidity for the company and its subsidiaries.

In addition to gainingthe above functional experience, youwill alsoworkcross functionally in a matrix environment, building your business acumen, andparticipatingin key training sessions.

Duringyourtimeas anAFDPmember,youcan expect to complete separate professional work assignments withinfinance areas,such as:

• Financial Analysis
• Budgets, PlansForecasting
• Reporting & Controls
• Manufacturing Operations Accounting

Rotation Locations:

Rotations in Ireland and within the EU. (eg. France, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland) and 2 weeks in United States. Placements will bebased onbusinessneeds and our ability to accommodateindividuals'preferences,when possible.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Recently completed a Master’s (preferred) or bachelors degree in related discipline (Finance/Accounting)
• Strong academic performance, minimum 2.1
• Successful completion of at least three accounting courses (each with 3 credit hours) by the time of graduation, with one of the coursesbeing focusedon cost or managerial accounting.

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of one internship in finance or accounting
• Dual major or minor in a related field is a plus
• Proven capability to effectively communicate within work and/or academic environments adapting messaging to suit diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in both academic and professional settings.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within a school or student organization setting.
• Capability to blend technical and business knowledge and supplement it with analytical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects within a work and/or academic environment, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
• Proventrack recordof working collaboratively in teams, being adaptable, innovative, proactive, and maintaining high ethical standards.
