Job summary

American Electric Power in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Leader in Data, Reporting & Systems to set the vision for finance data, analytics, and technology enablement. You will ensure Finance has tools, information, and insight to operate efficiently, stay compliant, and support enterprise objectives.

The Director oversees the Data, Reporting & Systems function, partners with IT and FP&A, drives governance, and leads a high-performing analytics team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related business.
• 10+ years in finance, analytics, technology, or transformation roles.
• Leadership in system implementation and reporting modernization.
• Strong data governance and SOX compliance experience.
• Advanced Microsoft tools, ERP systems, and data architecture familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and executive presence.
• Experience in regulated utility sector and capital planning.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute data and reporting strategy aligned with finance goals.
• Own finance system roadmaps including analytics platforms.
• Drive cross-functional transformation with FP&A, Accounting, Operations.
• Ensure enterprise data governance and SOX compliance.
• Provide executive insights with high-level reporting.
• Build and develop a high-performing analytics and systems team.
