Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation seeks a senior business analyst to analyze, design, and improve financial reports, processes, and workflows within the Finance Division. The role collaborates with the Technical Services team, vendors, and project managers, delivering data-driven insights and modern information resources applications.

You will derive requirements, model processes, create executive reports, test and validate applications, and present progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or related discipline; substitutions allowed year-for-year.
• At least 3 years of business-related analysis, technical system analysis and design, project management and/or support.
• Graduate level education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Derive system and functional requirements from business needs and facilitate implementation.
• Develop conceptual models for redesigning business processes.
• Create project plans for executive information management projects.
• Analyze diverse data repositories and design executive-level reports.
• Test, validate, update, and enhance applications.
• Prepare progress/status reports and presentations.
• Coordinate delivery of complex business and information analyses.
• Monitor implementation processes and follow up for workshops.
• Perform benchmark comparisons of business processes.
• Stay informed on policies, procedures, and legislation impacting business areas.
