Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Data Specialist to drive efficient ETL pipelines and finance data insights. You will build dashboards, transform data, and partner with finance and leadership to meet strategic analytics needs.

The role blends hands-on data work with cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid US environment. A bachelor's in CS/IS and 3–5 years ETL/1–2 years analytics are preferred; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of ETL experience.
• 1–2 years of data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with finance data structures and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python and Snowflake.
• Become an expert in finance data structures and needs.
• Define requirements with business leadership.
• Build, structure, and maintain data warehouse for reporting and analytics.
• Design and build analysis and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting to address data needs.
• Provide support for SQL Server and Snowflake processes.
