Microsoft Fabric will be the primary platform used in this role, along with Power BI and other automation and data tools. The analyst will also use AI and AI-assisted development tools to help build solutions, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and improve finance and accounting workflows. This position will help develop and maintain data workflows, reporting solutions, and process automations while ensuring outputs are accurate, documented, and appropriately controlled.

The ideal candidate has a foundation in finance, accounting, data analytics, or business systems, combined with strong technical aptitude and an interest in developing deeper automation capabilities.

  • Evaluate automation opportunities based on business value, complexity, risk, and available resources.

  • Simplify and standardize processes before automating them.

  • Measure the results of completed projects, including time savings, reduced errors, and faster reporting.

Automation Data and Reporting

  • Build and maintain data workflows, reporting solutions, and process automations primarily within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

  • Work with Fabric lakehouses, data warehouses, pipelines, dataflows, notebooks, and semantic models based on the needs of each solution.

  • Connect and transform data from financial systems, planning platforms, operational systems, spreadsheets, APIs, and other sources.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and the underlying datasets and models.

  • Use SQL, Python, Power Query, APIs, AI-assisted coding tools, and other technologies as needed to support Fabric-based solutions.

  • Test automated processes and validate results against source systems, existing reports, and expected outcomes.

  • Investigate data discrepancies, process failures, and performance issues.

  • Monitor recurring solutions for data-quality problems or changes in upstream systems.

  • Maintain clear documentation of data sources, definitions, transformation logic, testing results, and support procedures.

  • Update existing solutions as reporting needs, processes, and source systems change.

Controls and Governance

  • Follow company standards for system access, data security, documentation, testing, and change management.

  • Build appropriate reconciliations, reviews, approvals, audit trails, and exception reporting into automated processes.

  • Partner with Accounting and IT to ensure solutions meet financial-control and data-governance requirements.

  • Identify and escale risks involving financial reporting, sensitive information, system access, or data integrity.

  • Ensure solutions remain understandable, supportable, and auditable after implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Ability to investigate data discrepancies and validate results against source information.
