Job summary

HCSC is seeking a highly capable data analytics professional to design and implement complex data processing workflows. You will evaluate feasibility of new programs, optimize data flows and ensure accuracy across databases, reports and production processes.

The role requires strong SQL/relational DB skills, data analysis, and the ability to communicate clearly. Collaboration in a mixed in-office/remote environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a computer-related field; five+ years of relevant work experience or nine years without a degree.
• Five years of data analysis experience and five years with SQL or relational databases.
• Experience in solution development, programming and data-driven analysis; strong communication and planning skills.

This position is responsible for planning, development, analysis and implementation of very complex procedures and/or processes to design a sequence of steps for processing data by a computer. The incumbent will apply knowledge of programming techniques, computer systems and business processes to evaluate requests for a wide variety of new or modified programs, systems or databases to determine feasibility, resource requirements, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities; detecting and correcting program errors, testing, enhancing, maintaining and documenting the coded instructions for a variety of programs and systems; planning or directing the modification of programs to process data and solve data, database, system or report problems; and consulting with managerial and systems analysis personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of programming and coding required.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Management Information Systems, or other degrees can be considered +5 years of relevant work experience; OR 9 years minimum related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years experience in data analysis
• 5 years experience with SQL or other relational database systems tools
• 5 years experience in solution development and programming
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Recommend other possible data sources, ways to visualize and validate data
• Use advanced objects such as stored procedures / user defined functions / production processes (automation)
• Data & Business Process SME in LOB or Topic; Tool expertise for solution
• Performance and security insights of data technology
• Advanced experience in iterative application development
• Develop, recommend, evaluate and/or approve specifications for databases, solutions, and reports.
• Champion verification/validation of databases, program results and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Intermediate abilities on data tech (BI, DB Platforms, or other type data toolsets)

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Experience with Teradata and/or SQL Server.
• ETL development experience: Extract Transform Load
• Experience developing and maintaining: Stored Procedures Triggers
• Claims data experience

Schedule: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.

Compensation: $92,700.00 - $167,500.00
