Aimhire represents a growing chemical manufacturing company seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead and build its accounting and finance function. The role collaborates with executive leadership to align financial strategy with rapid manufacturing growth.

The successful candidate will drive GAAP reporting, cost accounting, internal controls, budgeting, and ERP integration, delivering scalable processes to support expansion and improved profitability.

Qualifications

• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• 7–10 years of accounting and finance experience.
• 5+ years of experience within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, materials, or process manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and month‑end close processes.
• Expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Experience operating in startup, private equity‑backed, or high‑growth environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Georgia state tax requirements and manufacturing incentives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and month‑end close
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve production economics and profitability
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis initiatives
• Monitor working capital, including inventory, receivables, payables, and cash management
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial controls, and reporting requirements
• Support ERP implementation, process improvements, and financial system optimization
• Create management dashboards, KPI reporting, and decision‑support analytics
