Job summary

NWU is seeking a motivated finance or accounting student for a full-time six-month role in Florence, SC. You will join the plant controlling team to support cost center reporting, cash forecasting, and month-end closing.

You will help with monthly business reporting, data distribution, and forecasting processes, and participate in ad-hoc projects. This internship offers health coverage, 401(k) matching, and opportunities for renewal in Summer/Fall 2027, with exposure to Power BI/Tableau and SAP

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting, or within one year of graduation.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Structured, detail-oriented with high-quality standards.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Excel for data management and reporting.
• Solid command of English; knowledge of BI tools is a plus.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist the plant controlling team with daily responsibilities including cost center expense reporting package preparation, cash position forecasting, and month-end closing.
• Support monthly business reporting focusing on reporting and analysis.
• Monitor and distribute key performance data and other reports as required.
• Support the business planning and forecasting process.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Individuals actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or within one year of graduation from such a program.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• A structured working approach to meet high-quality standards.
• Good attention to detail, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data management and report writing.
• Good command of the English language.
• Knowledge of MS Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• SAP knowledge is desirable.
• Availability to work full time Monday through Friday for at least six months, with opportunities for internship renewal in Summer/Fall 2027.
