Job summary

LHH is partnering with our Louisville technology client to recruit a Controller who will own the financial engine for three revenue lines and provide leadership with clear, actionable insights. The role offers growth, competitive compensation, and a hybrid work environment.

You will manage full-cycle accounting, revenue recognition, tax compliance, and a small finance team, while partnering with leadership on strategic decisions and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in financial management or accounting with at least 4 in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, multi-state tax, and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close across three revenue lines (recurring managed-services, project services, product resale).
• Oversee recurring and deferred revenue mechanics, reconciling ConnectWise billing with QuickBooks and keeping deferred revenue accurate.
• Supervise billing for recurring, project, and product invoicing; ensure margin/COGS accuracy for resale.
• Manage AP, AR, collections, and cash flow.
• Process payroll and reconcile related items.
• Ensure multi-state tax compliance (sales/use tax and payroll taxes).
• Coordinate year-end close with outside CPA and strengthen financial controls.
• Lead and develop a small finance/accounting team.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis (BvA).
• Perform scenario modeling for pricing, hiring, and renewals.
• Forecast cash flow and runway; own KPI reporting for leadership.
