Job summary

Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities in Lisle, IL seeks an experienced Controller to lead day-to-day accounting, ensure GAAP compliance, and support CFO with financial planning and reporting.

You will manage a finance team, oversee audits and grant funding, develop internal controls, and collaborate with program leaders to ensure fiscal accountability and sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting/finance experience with leadership exposure.
• 2-3 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations and oversee general ledger activities.
• Manage monthly and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and analyze trends.
• Develop, document, and test accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support CFO with financial reporting, analysis, and planning.
• Lead annual budget process and assist with capital planning.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and government regulations.
• Coordinate audits and grant reporting; monitor funding compliance.
• Manage and develop accounting staff; provide coaching and evaluations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business

7+ years finance or accounting experience

2-3 years people management
