Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing/Cost Accounting.
  • Proven knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong financial and accounting background.

    • Analyzes and supports financial analysis related to Fiber manufacturing costs
    • Responsible for the preparation, management and reporting of Fiber Unit Cost (CPK)
    • Provide to leadership timely, in-month analyses of variations to targets and mitigation options
    • Proactively utilize business partnerships to drive Fiber cost understanding
    • Assists with the preparation of Fiber short-term and long-term budgets and forecasts
    • Drive process improvement and standardization across all Fiber facilities and seek improvement opportunities to reduce complexity
    • Provide finance expertise and decision support to business leaders in support of the division strategy
    • Identify and assess the financial implications (ROI, IRR & Payback) of capital investments
    • Partner with and assist plant finance teams with the implement and ensure business adherence to internal finance controls including data and reporting standards and compliance (Sarbanes Oxley regulations and external audits)
    • Ensure appropriate support of COC’s divisional requirements and Corning Finance functions
    • Ability to take on various ad-hoc responsibilities as required
    Experiences/Education - Required
    • Bachelor's degree (4 years) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
    • MBA and/or CPA preferred
    • 5 + years of relevant experience; preferable Manufacturing/Cost Accounting experience
    • Controller experience (within or outside Corning) desired
    • Proven knowledge of US GAAP
    • Strong financial and accounting background
    • Deep understanding of financial controls
    • Ability to be comfortable interacting and communicating with all aspects of the business, including plant staff and senior managers
    • Strong Excel & PowerPoint Skills
    • Ability to be creative in providing financial solutions to business leaders.

    Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

    • M-F, 40 hour work week with additional hours as needed

    The range for this position is$132,649.00-$182,393.00assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
