Provides direct supervision of all; cage and count operations, gaming and non-gaming revenue audit function and ensures casino’s compliance with provisions of Ordinances, Gaming Commission regulations, Title 31 cash transaction reporting, and IRS withholding and reporting requirements. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Supervises and directs all casino cage and related activities
  • Supervises and directs all soft count and pull team operations
  • Supervises and directs gaming and non-gaming revenue audit function
  • Supervises and directs all casino compliance activities. (Gaming Commission)
  • Supervises and directs Title 31 and IRS compliance and reporting activities
  • Supervises and coordinates daily operating and monthly revenue reporting
  • Works closely with other departments and management to ensure that processes and procedures are efficient, effective and in compliance with, Gaming Commission and casino internal control standards.
  • Ensure effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, terminations and other personnel related matters are being handled appropriately throughout the department.
  • Communicate regularly with subordinate managers regarding operational, business, policy and staffing issues.
  • Evaluate management performance and provide feedback in order to further develop management team.
  • Assists with the assessment of economic impact of proposed transactions.
  • Interacts with Information Technology in order to ensure that financial systems provide information in an efficient manner to the required parties.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Attend all necessary training meetings

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment
  • College education with a degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA. Other majors will be considered if prior work experience requirements are met
  • 3-5 years prior gaming financial operations experience is required
  • 3-5 years prior gaming finance supervisory experience required
  • Strong communication, managerial and organization skills required
  • Experience in an automated accounting environment required
  • Previous working knowledge of Infinium GL, Stratton-Warren procurement, Info-genesis/LMS point of sale
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel is required
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to respond calmly to demands of internal customers and work in pressure situations
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
