Job summary

DLA Careers seeks an Accountant (Staff/Systems) to conduct enterprise-wide compliance reviews and support the J8 Financial Risk Management program. The role focuses on audit readiness, internal controls, and cross-functional E2E solutions across DLA processes.

You will advise on accounting functions, develop guidance, and collaborate with process owners to ensure compliance with federal laws and DoD regulations. This position requires DoD certification within 2 years and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 24 semester hours in accounting
• Combination of education and experience with 24 accounting hours or CPA/CIA
• One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide compliance reviews of financial management requirements
• Assist in managing the J8 Financial Risk Management program
• Develop agency-wide internal control test plans for auditable financial statements
• Advise on audit compliant automated and manual processes and controls
• Collaborate with other functional areas to deliver cross-functional E2E solutions
