The Town is seeking a Part-Time Finance Clerk to provide administrative, clerical, and basic accounting support to the office. This is an entry-level, part-time position (up to 20 –25 hours per week) with the potential to grow into a more advanced role over time for the right candidate. Primary responsibilities include managing financial spreadsheets in Excel, processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting residents with billing and payment inquiries. The Finance Clerk will assist with the preparation, filing, and tracking of the Bills List; prepare daily bank deposits and balance transactions accurately; answer incoming calls and respond to resident inquiries; process, sort, and distribute daily mail for the office; and prepare and mail delinquent payment notices. Additional clerical and administrative duties will be assigned as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, prior general office or clerical experience preferred, strong customer service skills, and experience handling cash and balancing transactions. Proficiency with standard office equipment (computers, scanners, copiers, multi-line phones) is required, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, including business grammar and spelling.
