Job summary

Textron Aviation Internship is designed to provide hands-on experience with the accounting team. You will assist with accounts receivable/payable, payroll, general ledger, inventory control, and fixed assets while exploring business workflows.

Participants gain exposure to domestic and international tax compliance, reporting, and research. This paid, 10-week program emphasizes mentorship, real project work, and the opportunity to build practical skills for a finance career at Textron Aviation.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High sense of accountability and integrity.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; organized and proactive.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and PivotTables; Word/Outlook basics.
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion/SmartView is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in forecast, monthly/quarterly reporting, variance analysis, and month-end close.
• Develop weekly cash forecast and track cash receipts.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication for accurate financial information.
• Analyze operating metrics and monitor performance against targets.
• Support annual and long-range planning, inventory analyses, and ad-hoc reports.
• Build relationships with Operations, Program Management, Engineering & Supply Chain.
