Job summary

Brown & Brown in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning within the Finance & Operations team. You will prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc reports, collaborate with Senior Partners and department leaders, and mentor Finance & Operations Specialists.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance position.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time; Travel may include but not limited to B&B offices and attending B&B training and events.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and/or reports required by the corporate office.
• Coordinates and direct preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Analyzes financial details to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
• Reviews and monitors monthly activity, data integrity, and financial accuracy.
• Partners with Department Team Leads, Profit Center Leaders, and Senior Business Partners through FP&A and strategic planning.
• Responsible for financial planning and analysis to identify trends and develop forward looking strategies.
• Prepares annual budgets and quarterly forecasts by working with Team Leads and PCL to identify drivers and create yearly goals.
• Prepares Ad hoc and monthly financial reporting.
• Mentors and trains Finance & Operations Specialists and Senior Finance & Operations Specialists.
• Assists Senior Finance Business Partners in leading the finance team.
