Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking a Finance Expert to evaluate AI-generated financial analyses for real corporate scenarios. You’ll check valuation assumptions and accounting behind them, then craft the judgments that teach models what defensible finance looks like.

In this role, you’ll stress-test three-statement linkages, trace model logic, and write clear, CFO-ready analyses with honest assumptions and transparent drivers. Flexible, remote, and project-based work from anywhere.

Job description

Models can build a three-statement model that looks clean and still get the mechanics wrong: a balance sheet that doesn't balance, working capital that flows the wrong way, a circular reference silently zeroed out. Someone has to trace the numbers back through the logic, and that someone is you.

As a Finance Expert you'll evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write the judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.

What you’ll actually do

• Stress-test AI-built models on real corporate scenarios: three-statement linkages, DCF assumptions, and the working-capital logic underneath.
• Trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers, broken drivers, and conclusions the model's own math doesn't support.
• Write the defensible analysis when the model falls short: honest assumptions, clear drivers, and a number you'd put in front of a CFO.

Compensation

Up to $40 – $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k–$100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
