Job summary

Hadley Designs is seeking a Finance Business Partner to own the full finance function, build scalable systems, manage cash flow, and steer Hadley’s growth with discipline and clarity. You’ll partner with leadership to align strategy, forecasting, and profitability with the brand’s mission.

In a remote-first setup, you’ll implement automated reporting, deliver monthly financials on time, and drive EBITDA improvements while supporting product, sales, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Experience implementing scalable systems and automation in growing organizations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and tax standards.
• Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel retail (preferred).
• Collaborative mindset and ability to influence executive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, audit-ready financials by the 20th of each month with full reconciliations.
• Build and maintain a 12-month rolling cash forecast with weekly updates.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting with ≤10% variance.
• Develop automated systems reducing manual reporting time by ≥25%.
• Partner with leadership to raise EBITDA by 2 percentage points in 12 months.
• Create and document SOPs for close, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.
• Implement new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by Month 6.
• Produce dashboards and KPIs for better decision-making.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Operations on growth, cash flow, inventory.
• Evaluate ERP/reporting tools to prepare for scale.

About the Role

Your Core Focus
You’ll own the full finance function, building scalable systems, managing cash flow, driving profitability, and leading financial strategy to support Hadley Designs’ next era of growth.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver accurate, audit-ready financials by the 20th of each month with full account reconciliation and zero material errors
• Build and maintain a 12-month rolling cash forecast, updated weekly, ensuring perfect liquidity and visibility
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all departments with ≤10% variance between forecast and actual results
• Develop automated systems and workflows that reduce manual reporting time by at least 25% within your first year
• Partner with leadership to implement initiatives that increase profitability and improve EBITDA by 2 percentage points in your first 12 months
• Create and document SOPs for close, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting processes
• Implement new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by Month 6
• Produce insightful financial dashboards and KPIs that drive better decision-making
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Operations to align growth, cash flow, and inventory planning
• Evaluate technology solutions (ERP, reporting tools) that prepare the company for scale

How Success Is Measured

• 100% of monthly financials delivered on time and error-free
• 0 overdrafts, late fees, or missed payments
• ≤10% variance between forecasted and actual EBITDA
• 12-month rolling cash forecast maintained weekly
• SOPs for all finance processes documented within 3 months
• System improvements reducing manual work by 25% in Year 1
• Trailing-12-month EBITDA margin up 2 points within first year

Requirements

You bring:
