Job summary
King Edward VII Hospital, part of a global healthcare group, is seeking a Finance Business Partner to connect finance with operational and clinical teams, driving informed decisions and sustainable growth.
You will work with leaders across the business to embed financial thinking into daily operations, maximise performance, and support strategic investments with robust analysis and planning.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Proven Finance Business Partnering experience in a complex organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to turn data into insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to improve financial performance.
- Provide financial insight and challenge to support decision-making.
- Monitor KPIs, risks and opportunities.
- Build business cases, investment appraisals and financial models for growth.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reporting.
- Deliver financial guidance to non-finance stakeholders.

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in connecting finance with operational and clinical teams, providing the insight, challenge, and support needed to drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll ensure financial thinking is embedded into everyday operations, helping to maximise performance, improve efficiency, and support the delivery of outstanding patient care. You'll be a visible and trusted partner, influencing strategic decisions, shaping new services, and ensuring opportunities for growth and investment are underpinned by robust financial analysis, control and planning.
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to improve financial performance and support business objectives.
- Provide financial insight and challenge to support effective decision-making.
- Monitor KPIs, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Build business cases, investment appraisals, and financial models to support growth initiatives.
- Support capacity planning, service development, and operational efficiency projects.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure new services and projects are commercially viable and that supporting financial processes are in place.
- Contribute to change and transformation projects, tracking financial impact and benefits realisation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting.
- Deliver financial guidance and training to non-finance stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships across the organisation, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- 5+ years qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven Finance Business Partnering experience within a complex organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modelling and business case development.
- Experience supporting business change, transformation, or project delivery.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Healthcare experience is desirable, although candidates from other regulated sectors are welcome.
- Collaborative, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement.
