Job summary

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) in Irving, TX is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst for its Finance team to align, optimize, and deliver a fully functional ERP/MES solution to Nucor's Sheet, Plate and Structural Mills. The role requires understanding month-end close and financial data integrity.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in accounting or finance and at least 5 years of accounting experience, with MBA/CPA/CMA preferred. Relocation to Dallas area is expected; travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience including financial close and GAAP.
• MBA, CPA, or CMA are preferred.
• Relocation to the Dallas area is preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Understand month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data integrity with divisions.
• Demonstrate strong General Ledger accounting knowledge and financial reporting processes.
• Assist audits by providing documentation and maintaining internal controls.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Business Technology (NBT)is seeking a highly skilledBusiness Analystfor itsFinanceteam to work with NBT teammates and other partners to align, optimize, and deliver a fully functional ERP/MES solution to Nucor's Sheet, Plate and Structural Mills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Understand month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and conducting financial analyses to help support the divisions
• Have proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations, identify and resolve reconciling items, and collaborate with divisions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Have a strong understanding of General Ledger accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Support division internal and external audits by assisting with audit requests, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time position with Nucor Business Technology, based in Irving, TX. Project-related overnight travel as needed, up to 50%.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• Public or corporate accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with OracleEBS and/or PSI
• Relocation to the Dallas area
