Stinson LLP in Denver's Banking and Financial Services division seeks a driven associate attorney with 3-5 years of commercial lending and real estate finance experience to join a fast-paced, deal-oriented practice.

You will draft credit agreements, construction loan documents, and security instruments, close multi‑million transactions, and work directly with partners to structure financing and client relationships.

Qualifications

Stinson’s Banking and Financial Services division in Denver is seeking a driven associate attorney with 3-5 years of commercial lending and real estate finance experience to join a fast-paced, deal-oriented practice at the forefront of some of Colorado’s most significant financing transactions. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience drafting credit agreements, construction loan documents, security documents, and other loan documentation, as well as closing complex financing transactions from term sheet to funding. Experience with syndicated credit facilities, real estate secured lending, and private equity or capital markets transactions is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of academic achievement and meaningful law firm experience.

This is an opportunity to play a central role in a dynamic and growing practice. Stinson's commercial lending and real estate finance team represents agent banks, institutional lenders, private credit lenders, community banks, Farm Credit System institutions, private equity sponsors, and real estate investors across the full spectrum of financing transactions, from multibillion‑dollar syndicated credit facilities and large‑scale construction lending to asset‑backed term loans, revolving credit facilities, real estate joint ventures, and capital markets transactions involving real estate assets and operating companies. Associates in this group gain meaningful responsibility early, working directly with partners and clients on transactions that shape Colorado’s built environment and drive growth for businesses nationwide.

What You’ll Do

Our associate compensation structure has two components: (1) a base salary (based on an 1850 billable hour target) and (2) a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The base salary range for this role is $215,000 - $245,000. The salary range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. The range is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual’s unique qualifications and experience.
