Confidential global law firm in Palo Alto or Los Angeles seeks an outstanding lateral associate (class of 2023–2025) with general finance experience to join its Finance group. This confidential search is focused on qualified candidates with UCC experience and a strong academic track record.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commitment papers, security and credit agreements, and handling UCC matters.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar admission required.
• Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents, including UCC.
• High level of academic achievement; peer firm experience preferred.
• Data center or digital infrastructure experience is a plus.

Job description

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an outstanding lateral associate (class of 2023-2025) with general finance experience to join its Finance group in Palo Alto or Los Angeles. This is a confidential search.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commitment papers, security agreements, credit agreements and other loan documents
• Handle UCC matters

Qualifications

• JD and active bar admission, with law school graduation in 2023, 2024 or 2025
• Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents, including UCC experience
• High level of academic achievement

Compensation

The starting base salary is expected to be between $225,000 and $260,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
