Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an experienced Manager to join our Finance as a Service (FAAS) practice, supporting private equity-backed, technology, life sciences, and high-growth companies. This role leads outsourced accounting operations, financial reporting, and finance transformation to help clients scale through growth, transformations, acquisitions, and operational change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or advisory experience.
• Experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, consulting, or corporate accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, monthly close processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and leading teams.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights for management and investors.
• Strong project management, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary client contact for PE-backed and growth-oriented companies across technology and life sciences sectors.
• Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules for quality and completeness.
• Lead finance and accounting outsourcing engagements, including oversight of offshore and domestic team members.
• Assist clients in designing and implementing scalable accounting processes that support growth and operational efficiency.
• Advise clients on finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, process automation, reporting enhancements, and system optimization.
• Support private equity portfolio companies through transactions, integrations, carve-outs, acquisitions, and post-close operational improvements.
• Coordinate with client executives, investors, lenders, auditors, tax advisors, and transaction teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Identify accounting, operational, and reporting risks and develop practical recommendations to mitigate them.
• Mentor and develop staff and senior associates while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Support business development efforts by strengthening client relationships, expanding existing engagements, and identifying new service opportunities.
