Job summary

RSM US LLP in Boston seeks a senior Finance as a Service professional to oversee day-to-day accounting and finance functions for multiple client engagements in a shared-services model.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, leadership, and FP&A experience, including budgeting and forecasting. You will mentor staff, design efficient financial processes, and help drive client success using RSM's technology stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Progressive experience in accounting/finance in professional services or corporate environment.
• Strong technical financial accounting (GAAP) knowledge.
• Experience with FP&A including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience in a public accounting or consulting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall day-to-day management of accounting and finance functions for multiple clients in a shared-services environment, acting as Controllers.
• Participate in client design sessions to redesign processes for FaaS best practices (COA redesign, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, close, record-to-report).
• Lead and coach client services staff at various levels.
• Review monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
• Analyze financial information for management and provide actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve monthly operations and suggest process improvements.
• Leverage technology stack to drive month-end efficiencies and document repeatable methodologies.
• Develop engagement budgets and contribute to proposals and SOWs.
