Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America (MBRDNA) is seeking a Finance & Operations Intern to support the CFO and Finance team with data-driven analysis and strategic initiatives. You will work on diverse projects with Finance Business Partners, contributing to digital transformation and process improvements.

The role starts November or January 2027, offering exposure to global operations and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting (or pursuing).
• Ability to capture and document information to execute business processes.
• Strong analytical thinking; consolidate data sources for data-based recommendations.

A successful Finance & Operations Intern will be supporting the Finance team, including the CFO, to drive strategic initiatives and support stakeholders’ decision-making through data and analysis. You will be involved in many different projects within the company and work closely with the Finance Business Partners of MBRDNA.

*This role is able to start November of this year or January 2027

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial workflow guide across all business units.
• Support Finance Business Partners and other team members on strategic and ad-hoc financial projects and reports; support the digital transformation of Finance, and help identify and implement process improvements.
• Support the Finance Team to ensure plausibility of the planning / forecasted actuals for business
  units.
• Support the Finance Team to develop recommendations on improving efficiency against benchmarks across the organization, and see them through from idea to implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor’s Degree or working towards Bachelor’s Degree – Finance, Business Administration, Accounting.
• Ability to capture and document all the information necessary to properly execute business processes within organization.
• Strong analytical thought process; ability to consolidate multiple data sources to develop data-based recommendations.
• High degree of business curiosity; quick learner with a proactive and agile mindset.
• Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, high-growth, and global environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Copilot, Excel and PowerPoint for reports and presentations.
• Team player mentality and the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI tools, Adaptive Insights, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.

Additional Information

The current hourly rate for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future and is only applicable for CA: $23 (Undergraduate Students)/$26 (Graduate Students)

This position may involve access to export-controlled technology, hardware, or software under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), 15 C.F.R. Parts 730-774 and possibly technical data, defense articles and defense services subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 C.F.R. Parts 120-130. As such, Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America may be required to obtain an export license or authorization in accordance with United States law.
