WaterConnect is seeking a meticulous Finance and Accounting Manager to safeguard and strengthen the financial foundation of our fast-growing infrastructure investment platform. You will oversee treasury, liquidity, vendor payments, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Working closely with Water.org’s finance team, you will contribute to consolidation, audits, and cross-border transactions while supporting strategic decisions and governance.
WaterConnect LLC (“WaterConnect”) is a project development company dedicated to creating opportunities for construction-stage investment in water supply and sanitation (WSS) infrastructure in low- and middle-income countries. We bring early-stage financing and technicalexpertiseto complement local partners, develop new infrastructure, and deploy technology that willimpactwater access, quality, and scarcity, and in turn build resilience for households and watersheds.
WaterConnect partners with infrastructure developers, utilities, engineering firms, technologyprovidersand equipment suppliers to co-develop infrastructure projects, bringing them from concept to financial close and construction. With the goal of accelerating the flow of projects, WaterConnect offers project development funding andexpertise, particularly in legal and financial structuring, capital raising, and social and environmental impact, to supplement the pre-existing resources of project co-developers. WaterConnectseeksto develop a range of water projects, including both public private partnership projects for municipal infrastructure, as well as private industrial projects that mitigate water scarcity and reduce wastewater discharges.WaterConnect coordinates closely with sister organizations, Water.org andWaterEquity, which offer complementary products, including private equity and construction-stage infrastructure project financing.
WaterConnect is in itsthirdyear of operations after spinning off from Water.org in 2024. Itrepresentsthe latest in a series of innovations by Water.org tocatalyzeinvestment into water supply and sanitation in pursuit of achieving access for all, as highlighted by UN Sustainable Development Goal 6.

The Finance and Accounting Manager oversees WaterConnect's internal financial operations, ensuring theaccurate,timely, and compliant management of the organization's finances. This roleis responsible fortreasury and liquidity management, vendor and banking relationships, and financial reporting. It also oversees sound accounting procedures and controls, manages the day-to-day and period-end close process, and ensures compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Working closely withWater.org'sfinance team, the Finance and Accounting Manager will play a key role infinancial statementconsolidation and inmaintainingthe financial integrity that supports WaterConnect's mission. The role offers significant visibility, a direct line to management, and the chance togrow with the company.

Colleagues, partners, and service providers are based in the Americas, Africa, India, and East Asia.While the role is fully remote, to ensure real-time overlapwith the President andWater.org’sfinance team during core business hours, we require candidates to be based in the Eastern or Central time zone.This role involves extended periods of sitting and reaching. This role requires the ability to see, talk, and hear. Travel may berequiredup to 10% of the time.
This position offers full-time benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, flexible spending plans,lifeand disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, and periodic review for merit and incentive pay based on organizational and personal achievement.Overall compensation will becommensuratewith education and experience and structured to reflect a competitive package for a full-timeteam member.
Expected pay range is $80,000 to 110,000 per year.
